Welcome to the Helgøya Storytelling Festival - July 30st - Aug 2nd

Here, in the heart of Lake Mjøsa, you can experience exciting, humorous, and mysterious stories told by some of the finest oral storytellers from Norway and across Europe.

The festival starts July 30st and last for 4 whole days with performances all over Helgøya island!

Helgøya Fortellerfestival offers something for everyone — from playful and entertaining performances to thought-provoking storytelling. Discover stories inspired by myths and fairy tales, personal narratives, and tales drawn from Helgøya’s rich history.

Performances take place both indoors and outdoors at a variety of locations across the island. The entire island becomes a stage.
