Infoteket in Tingnes

Infoteket i Tingnes is the local seasonal tourist information center for Nes & Helgøya, in the heart of Lake Mjøsa. Open from June through August, with daily opening hours during the school holidays.

Ready for an active day? Rent e-bikes or kayaks and explore the beautiful Mjøsa landscape up close.

E-Bike Rental

Choose from touring bikes, mountain bikes, and hybrid e-bikes. We also offer bike bags and child trailers. Rentals are available by the day, with discounted rates for longer stays. Explore Helgøya and Nes with recommended cycling routes and local tips from our staff.

Kayak Rental

Experience Lake Mjøsa from the water with stable and beginner-friendly single or double kayaks. Life jackets and paddles are included, with additional equipment available for rent.

Tourist Information

Located in the charming old gymnasium building at historic Toftes Gave on Helgøya, Infoteket provides maps, brochures, local recommendations, and information about events and activities in the area.

History & Guided Tours

Discover the history of Toftes Gave through a small permanent exhibition at the tourist office. During July, guided tours of Toftes Gave and the scenic Skredderstustien trail are also available.
